A beautiful arranged modern campus with well-equipped academic and hospital buildings is the beauty of the area. It is situated at Road 8, Dhanmondi, Dhaka 1205, at the heart of the capital of Bangladesh. The campus includes 8 modern buildings and an annexe two floor space in the adjacent capital market.

Our Journey

Anwer Khan Modern Medical College started its journey in 2008

January 2009 : First batch of student admitted in MBBS Course.

January 2014 : 2 foreign student from India got admitted in Anwer Khan Modern Medical College.

January 2015 : 36 foreign student from Nepal, India, USA got admitted in foreign quota.

January 2015 : Anwer Khan Modern Medical College 2nd batch students pass the final professional MBBS exam under University of Dhaka with a record pass percentage of 96.5%, highest among all government and private medical colleges under University of Dhaka.

February 2015 : AKMMC is listed in International Medical Education Directory (IMED) since February 2015. Faimer School ID: F0002856.

All teachers, faculty members of Anwer Khan Modern Medical College numbering 145 (Professor 48, Associate Professor 15, Assistant Professor 23, Lecturer 48, Registrar 11) are full time. There is no part time staff in Anwer Khan Modern Medical

AKMMC is approved by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh.

AKMMC is affiliated and run its academic course as per guide line of University of Dhaka.

AKMMC is recognized by BMDC, Medical Council of India (MCI), Nepal Medical Council (NMC) & World Health Organization (WHO).

Clinical residential training in Medicine, Gynae & Obstetrics and paediatrics has been recognized by BCPS.

Celebrated 10 years AKMMC Day with a theme of excellence in quality medical education in 14th September 2018.

November 2018 : Four students got honours in gynae & obstetrics and one got honours in medicine in final professional MBBS examination held in November 2018.

Medical College offers 5 years MBBS course approved by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC) leading to MBBS degree under the University of Dhaka.
BSc Nursing, Post-basic BSc Nursing & Diploma Nursing courses are being run by AKMMC.
