Shahabuddin Medical College has a well organized modern campus located in Gulshan, which is the most prestigious and secured area of Dhaka city. The campus includes a College building and a Hospital building, both of which are 12 storied and hold all the attributes of modern architecture.Male Hostel building lies adjacent to the college building.
College building holds the administrative wings along with the pre and para-clinical departments. Administrative wing comprises of office of the Chairman, Principal, Vice-Principal along with other
college administrative offices.
College building also has Departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine,Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Pathology and Microbiology.
College building also has the Library, Lecture Halls, Conference rooms, CME unit, Common room,Prayer room, Canteen and one wing of the Female hostel.
Hospital building faces the college building and is equipped with all the facilities of a modernhospital. Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital is a 500 bed hospital and holds VIP Cabin, General
Cabin, General wards, OPD (Out Patient Department), Emergency , ICU, CCU, NICU, Operation Theatres, Kidney dialysis unit, Physiotherapy unit, Pharmacy , Laboratory and Imaging unit.
Hospital building has all the departments of clinical subjects naming Department of Medicine along with its allied subjects, Department of Surgery along with its allied subjects, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Shahabuddin Medical College is eagerly awaiting inauguration of its new campus at Gazipur. The new campus is built on 103 decimal area which contains separate Academic building, Hospital building,Male & Female hostel with all other modern facilities.

Course Evaluations
To evaluate each student there will be multiple in-course & end-course examination or assessments for the students in each phase (1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th phase) of the course. Following are some key features:
- In-course assessment means cards/items/terms and End-course assessment means Professional examinations.
- Formative assessment will be done through results of items, Card and term ending examination & class attendance.
- There will be Professional examination at the end of each academic phase.
- Pass marks is 60%. Student shall have to pass written (MCQ + SAQ + Formative), oral, practical and clinical examination separately.
Eligibility for appearing in Professional examination
- At least 75% attendance in all classes (theory, practical, tutorial, residential field practical, clinical placement etc.) during the phase.
- Obtaining at least 60% marks in In-course examinations.
- Passing in all the subjects of the previous professional examinations.
Eligibility for Admission
Students who have passed SSC or equivalent examination (`O' level/10th Grade etc) and HSC or equivalent examination (`A' level/12th Grade etc) having physics, Chemistry and Biology in HSC/'A' level/12th Grade are eligible to apply.
To apply, Total GPA of the candidate must be at least 9 (nine). For Tribal and Non-tribal resident of Hill tracts Total GPA must be at least 8 (Eight). But, Individually in SSC/`O' level/10th Grade and HSC/`A' level/12th Grade GPA can not be less than 3.5. In addition, GPA score in Biology in HSC or equivalent exam has to be at least 3.5.
For students passed in equivalent examinations, equivalent marks will be considered according to the equivalence certificate obtained from the Directorate of Health services, Bangladesh.
Shahabuddin Medical College will admit students as per rules and regulations of DGHS. Students who have participated in the national admission test and scored at least 40 in that test will be eligible for admission.
Students who have passed HSC/A level/12th Grade two years before the admission session will not be eligible for admission.

- Equivalence certificate from Directorate of Health service, Bangladesh (If applicable)
- Four copies of recent passport size attested photographs of the candidate
- Nationality certificate from the Chairman of Union Parisad / Ward Commissioner of Metropolitan City
- National ID Card (if available)
